Catterall Parish Council

We have two vacancies for councillors on Catterall Parish Council.

Can you make a difference to your community? 

Catterall Parish Council is seeking residents to become a councillor.  Councillors are not employees; they are elected or co-opted representatives who volunteer their time for free to work on behalf of their communities. 

As a Councillor you will engage with the local community and keep up to date with issues of local concern, provide a voice for all sections of the community and manage public funds, whilst seeking best value. 

There is a legal requirement to attend Parish Council meeting and abide by the Code of Conduct.

To be considered for co-option, applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:

1. Be registered as a Local Government Elector for the Parish on the current Electoral Register.

2. Has during the whole of the previous 12months occupied as tenant or owner any land or other premises in the Parish.

3. Has had his/her principal or only place of work in the previous 12months in the Parish of Catterall.

4. Has resided either in the Parish or within 3 miles thereof during the previous 12 months.
