Celebrating the Year of the Child
This year's Patronal Festival promises to be one of the best ever with a record number of events planned. The flower festival with its displays and exhibits is being held in church.

What is the Year of the Child 2009?
Church leaders want to make 2009 a year to remember for the young people of the church. The launch of the International Year of the Child has coincided with the 30th anniversary of the United Nations International Year of the Child.
Churches are being encouraged to review the work they do with and for children and young people and do more to recognise and celebrate their contribution in the life of church and society.
